Overview
Summary- I started a 45 Days UI Replication challenge in September 2022. It was a personal project. I decided to take a UI Screen from Dribble daily and put it on Linkedin for taking feedback.
Purpose- It served two purposes. a) To become active on Linkedin and make connections. b) To become better at UI Design by improving the speed and quality of my work.
Results 🎉
100,000+
It resulted in a total of more than 100,000 impressions on my posts on Linkedin.
200+
I got connected to 200+ members of Linkedin, who got connected, to give advice to me or learn from me.
300%
I got about 3x faster in making any screen in Figma. Not only, the quality of my UI significantly improved. It also helped me think of more iterations of wireframes, which I did not expect initially.
Process
Initially, I started with mobile UIs from Dribble.
Then, I shifted to replicating real mobile apps. (After, I got this suggestion from a few people).
Then, I moved on to website replica’s from Dribble.
And I followed by replicating real websites and mobile apps.
Then, I started improving the initial design by Re-designing, using my understanding.
Glimpses of the Screens:

Key Takeaways🌻
Apart from what I thought I would learn from this project, there was some more learning: My divergent thinking improved a lot. Earlier, if I was making two wireframes of projects, now I started making 4. This happened for two reasons- I saw a lot of designs, so a lot of ideas came from that and increased in speed.
Connections on LinkedIn are more potent than I used to think. You have a set of people, some of whom are always there to help you and provide opportunities, give advice or mentor you.
